Gerrard to the rescue!

Steven Gerrard scored a last-minute winner as Liverpool kept their Premier League title bid alive in dramatic fashion against bottom side Derby County. Jay McEveley's goal, in the 67th minute, looked to have salvaged an unlikely draw for Derby after Fernando Torres had opened the scoring in the 12th minute.

But a great finish by Gerrard from close range secured all three points for the Reds. The defeat stretched Derby's winless run to 12 games and left Jewell still searching for his first victory since succeeding Billy Davies last month. Benitez made four changes from the side that thrashed Portsmouth last weekend, among them recalling Xabi Alonso and Ryan Babel while Andriy Voronin partnered leading scorer Torres in attack.

Looking at the current situation, Rafa is more inclined towards the Champs League. We are still behind Man U and Arsenal when it comes to consistency. So a top 3 finish in the EPL is considered an achievement.
