West Ham stun Liverpool

Mark Noble's 90th minute penalty earned West Ham a 1-0 home win and sent Liverpool slipping one place further down the table to seventh. Jamie Carragher brought Freddie Ljungberg down to the left of the penalty spot with just seconds left on the clock while Mark Noble, troublesome all night, stepped up to drill the ball past Jose Reina and into the bottom right corner.

Liverpool started the stronger of the two teams, shutting West Ham out in the early stages with Fernando Torres trying his luck from distance in just the second minute. West Ham took a good 20 minutes to settle into the match but looked the classier team when they finally did with Luis Boa Morte's shot from a Noble free kick cannoning off the far post having comfortably beaten Reina.
