Juventus have revealed they are in talks to sign midfielder Xabi Alonso, and will meet the player's agent on Wednesday afternoon. Juventus club president Gigli warned, however, that Juve have not agreed a fee, and they are known to be reluctant to match Liverpool's £16 million valuation of the player. The Serie A side signed fellow Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko in January and have now set their sights on the 26-year-old Alonso, who was one of Rafa Benitez's first signings when he arrived at Anfield in 2004.
