Harry Kewell's latest injury nightmare appears to be nearing an end after it emerged that the Australian winger will resume training with his Liverpool club-mates next week.
Kewell has been sidelined since suffering a groin injury while playing for his country in the Asian Cup in the summer. It's been a very very very long time since he's played a game for Liverpool !
It was the latest in a series of injury setbacks for the former Leeds player, but manager Rafa Benitez believes the Aussie is on the verge of returning to his first-team squad, and has insisted he has a future at the club.
Despite Benitez's public expression of faith, it seems inevitable that, when he does come back, Kewell will be playing for his future at the club following the summer acquisition of Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun, who both operate in wide midfield roles.Kewell to go?
